It's not a dream anymore

My name is Ellie

Weeeellllllll

Well the promise I made to myself that I would keep this going didn’t happen. So sorry on behalf of myself to my millions of followers for letting you down.

I want to tell everyone how great my trip was but there are too many words for Tumblr to handle. It was pretty much a dream come true. I have a mental list of all the things that I want to do and see in America and a lot of them got ticked off in this trip. I got to do things like see Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway, spend a week in New York city just exploring and celebrity spotting, Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, have a Halloween party at Disney World, explore San Francisco, hike through Yosemite, go crazy in Vegas, explore the Grand Canyon, pretend I was getting eaten by prehistoric piranhas in Lake Havasu, have a pimp try to make me one of his girls in Hollywood, walk the beach at sunset in Santa Monica and see an exhibition of all of Tim Burtons artwork.

As you can tell there are many stories to tell and not enough people in the world to tell them to. I’ll probably keep posting pictures of things on here for awhile since I’m still on a high from the whole thing and tell you all about the next trip I want to plan to do.

Its been awhile

So I know I havent posted a blog in a loooonnnngggg time and I am so sorry to my millions of followers haha. Life at camp has been so busy that finding time to sit down and write in my journal before bed has even been really hard.

Camp is a lot of fun. I have met so many cool people here and I don’t even want to think about saying goodbye to them because its going to be so hard. All my productions so far this summer have gone really well. I have one of my carry over shows (called A Flea In Her Ear) opening tonight. I’m really excited about this one because I have been able to get to know the cast really well.

Weather wise its been crazy, we had a massive heat wave, then crazy thunder storms all within a couple of weeks. We have been on heaps of different trips on our days off including Philadelphia, New York City, Binghamton, New York City again. Obviously the city has been my favourite so far. I got to explore for a whole day and did heaps of different touristy things. Our next trip is on Sunday and we are going to Niagra Falls so I really excited for that one even though it’s going to take us about 6 hours to get there they said.

Camp ends in 19 days so I’m getting really excited to do all of my traveling after. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing people I haven’t seen in awhile.

I promise I will try and write more, and to write some interesting things haha.

:)

Session One comes to a close…

What an intense 4 weeks. I feel like I have been for years and days at the same time. It has been so much fun and I’m learning so much. Session One came to a close last week which meant the girls that were in our bunk left and we got a new bunch. We were definitely sad to see them go as we had all become really close but at the same time we were really excited for the next lot to come through. Most of them will be here for the next 2 sessions as well so we will have them for 6 weeks rather than 3.

I have 4 shows next session. 2 lower camp musicals, Sleeping Beauty and James and the Giant Peach, which I love doing because everything is so cute, and then I have 2 dramas, Bus Stop and Count Dracular, which are all the upper camp kids! Its going to be a lot of work but I am really excited to get started with them!

Well the other day we had our first official lazy day where most of the staff were taken into a town called Ithaca. I had been told by staff here that it was a cute college town with some great waterfalls and it was exactly how they described it. We got dropped off in an area called the Ithaca Commons which had some cute shops, diners and restaurants. A group of us decided to get a $3 bus pass and find the mall so we could do some shopping. We eventually made it and headed straight for some food. We found a cute little diner and had some amazing turkey sandwiches. I shopped quite a bit afterwards, which is mostly because I feel like I have no clothes here.
We then went on a mission to find one of the waterfalls which proved to be really easy because it was right by one of the bus stops. On our way there we passed through Cornell University which was beautiful! It definitely made me want to move there. We spent about an hour at the waterfall because it was so relaxing and pretty. And after that headed back to the Commons for some dinner. I think we found THE best pizza place in the world. It was our first real taste of New York pizza and boy was it good!! I had chicken and pesto and chicken and broccoli, ugh even thinking about it makes me so hungry. We spent about 2 hours sitting outside the pizza place because we just found everything so perfect. The weather was perfect, the was a really talented guy playing guitar, and old man doing street magic and it was all so pretty.
After spending the day there I definitely want to go back sometime and spend longer there. Everything about that day was great.
At the moment at camp we have about 4 days until our shows which is CRAZY! Everything is going really well though, I cant wait to do them. This 1st session end on Tuesday and then the kids we have now leave and new ones arrive which is exciting. It feels like I have been here for months because we have done so much so its crazy that its only been just under 3 weeks since I left.
I’m going to try and get the DVD’s of my shows so I can send them home to show everyone so if you are in close range of my family keep in contact with them :)
